I'm afraid I've been away from Deviant Art and a few other outlets for a little bit too long. I'm only catching a short break but I'm going to have to update where I can while I can. This year has been a full experience, I've been away in Hawaii and I'm finally managing to come back from that and get things back in order. I've come back with a few good photos but not the kind of photos that I really wanted. I can say this: my legs and arms are definitely still a bit more tan than previously from having gotten so very sunburned while we were there. Not a fun experience.

The next con coming up is Izumicon and it sounds like I'm getting a bit of a break. I only took on one client, which is good because my friends are coming down and I am going to be cosplaying. I have a lot to get done before then but hopefully I can get caught up and back on track.

The next convention I will be attending is Anime Detour in MN. You can contact me if you want information or to set up time but I probably won't have anything solid ready for you until it gets a little closer to April.

Anime Iowa was a resounding success and I will be posting pictures from my adventures there shortly. I have been very busy lately, seeing as how my home got flooded while I was away, it took a while to finally get back into the swing of things. I can honestly say that Anime Iowa was a huge success and I want to thank all of you who took me up on that offer, especially sailoranime: and Serenity the Fairkin;who are being wonderful sports and allowing me to use a couple of pictures here and there. To those of you who strongly wished for me not to use pictures, that's perfectly fine as long as I am given credit where credit is due.

Now, onward to business. If you are interested in getting some really good photos of your costume for cheap at Izumicon, I can certainly manage that. The rates are 10 dollars an hour and I do have professional gear. This prices will not stick forever so take advantage of them now while you can! I look forward to seeing you all in November!

It's been a VERY busy summer and I haven't always had the time or the internet connections I've wanted to be able to do things. I am still able to take on one or two more costumers at anime Iowa--I am bringing my professional photography tools to the conventions to get photos of costumes and events. I currently have five people on the list so there's quite a few people to jostle around so far but I'm more than confident I can work everyone in. Typically the photoshoots will run for an hour unless you feel you are indeed satisfied with your photos but please, do not hesitate to contact me. Just realize that I may not answer right away and here's why:

I'm moving into a new home currently and we're just now sort of finishing out the final touches of being completely moved in. Unfortunately, I will not have internet for a short while and even if I do at some point, I'm still going to be arranging my house for a good chunk of at least the next week. Fear not though! I WILL make the time to message you and we will get you some awesome photos.

All I ask in return is that you hand out my business cards and recommend people to me at future conventions. For right now there is NO CHARGE but I am confident enough in my abilities to know that you will want to come back and get more amazing photos the next year when my skills have sharpened and the price is just right. Anyways, for all of you who have contacted me, THANK YOU!! And for those of you that will, THANK YOU!!

Update time! I'd like to start updating you once a month--so I think the 4th of every month should be appropriate. That way I can reflect on the previous month's accomplishments and go headstrong into the next. That sounds fair to me. Anyways, moving right along...

I'm not sure how many people this would actually reach or affect. More than likely next to none but I'm looking for various ways to "feed" my hobby. I attend a few conventions regularly over the course of the year and I've begun to think of how much fun it would be to take pictures of individuals instead of trying to nab groups or quick shots as I pass them in hallways. Part of that is going to have to be me coming out of my shell and asking but the other part is going to have to be me gearing up and looking in all directions.

Izumi Con (Oklahoma City, OK) (just added this one to the list!)

All of those pages are still being set up but there are some neat things in each. In any case, I'm willing to take photos for free. All I ask is that I be able to use the photos on places like my facebook page, Tumblr and of course, Deviant Art. This is something I like to do, so I hope someone will eventually consider it.
